Major Wire’s Flex-Mat Now Produced On The West Coast

Major Wire Screen Media, a subsidiary of Canada-based Major Wire Industries Ltd., is now producing the company’s Flex-Mat 3 High-Performance Screen Media from its new larger facility in Fife, Wash. Now, aggregate, mining, recycle, asphalt and green waste users can receive shipments of Flex-Mat 3 Tensioned with shorter lead times and lower freight costs.

Previously, all Flex-Mat 3 was produced and shipped from Montreal, Canada. Flex-Mat 3 Modular will continue to be manufactured in Montreal for the foreseeable future.

“Our continued sales growth in Flex-Mat 3, OptimumWire, Woven Wire, stainless steel and other screen media solutions in Western North America has been significant since we first opened Major Wire Screen Media in 2008 in Puyallup, Wash.,” said Jean Leblond, president of Major Wire Industries. “Now we can offer our Authorized Dealers serving our markets in the West and their customers faster delivery times and lower freight costs on Flex-Mat 3, just as we have with woven wire for the past five years.”

Major Wire’s Flex-Mat 3 line of screen media is available for both tensioned and modular screen decks and is constructed with distinct lime green polyurethane strips that bond independently vibrating wires to dramatically increase material throughput, lengthen wear life, and virtually eliminate blinding, pegging and clogging.

“Since 2008, Major Wire Screen Media has been supplying OptimumWire Woven Wire screen media to Authorized Dealers across the west coast of the U.S. and Canada,” said Mark Roppo, vice president of Major Wire Screen Media. He added that he started with Major Wire as an Authorized Dealer selling Flex-Mat 3 screen media for 12 years. “I’m excited to have been part of the West Coast growth, and now that we are producing Flex-Mat 3 here, the shorter lead times and decreased freight costs will make a huge difference for our dealers and their customers.”

Major Wire offers its Results Guaranteed Program, allowing new Flex-Mat 3 users a risk-free opportunity to experience their own production increases. Major Wire Screen Media also produces OptimumWire Woven Wire, which has a higher carbon and manganese content than traditional woven wire, providing more resistance to abrasion, expanding wear life and performing better under higher-impact
conditions.
