Washing Unit

The new W.S. Tyler Haver Hydro-Clean washing unit effectively cleans deleterious material from aggregate, industrial minerals and metals, while reducing water consumption by up to 75 percent over traditional log washers, according to the company. The washing unit can take a maximum feed material size of up to 6 in. (150 mm) into its vertical drum.

Large Loader Tires

Bridgestone Americas Off Road Tire has developed an enhanced line of large loader tires for the quarry, mining and coal industries. The 45/65-45 DuraLoad off road tire features a flatter crown radius for larger, more even footprint and less heat generation leading to longer tire life. The tire’s innovative design allows for easier mounting and includes shoulder tie bars. Vocational Truck

Caterpillar launched the Cat CT660, the first model in a full line of Class 8 vocational trucks designed to work as aggregates haulers, transit mixers, dump trucks, refuse haulers and in any application requiring a heavy-duty truck. The CT660 engine options include the Cat CT11, CT13 and CT15 – with displacements of 11.1, 12.5 and 15.2 L – yielding optimum horsepower/torque combinations.

Heavy-Duty Engine

Cummins Inc. announced that the QSX15 engine will meet near-zero emissions levels in 2014 with power output increased up to 675 hp (503 kW). The heavy-duty engine will meet EPA Tier 4 Final and EU Stage IV emissions with an ultra-clean aftertreatment system combining the Cummins Particulate Filter with Selective Catalytic Reduction (CPF-SCR).
