Vulcan Materials Co. announced results for the first quarter ending March 31, 2014. The company is reporting that net sales increased $44 million, or 9 percent. Vulcan Concludes Deal

Vulcan Materials Co. announced that it has completed the previously announced sale of the company’s cement and concrete businesses in the Florida area to Cementos Argos for gross cash proceeds of $720 million.
