Hilti says the PD 22 and PD 28 laser-range meters measure as far as 500 ft in 0.3 seconds. The Pythagoras function can measure sloped roofs, angles and inclinations with only one operator. The tracking mode measures distance continuously by moving the tool. The range meter emits an audible signal when it reaches the next interval point. The Hilti PD 28’s data memory function can assign project numbers and measurement codes to each value with a numerical keypad. The PD 28 stores as many as 1,000 measurements that can be uploaded onto a personal computer. The meters feature built-in spikes for corner measurements and built-in bubble levels for horizontal measures.
