Komatsu America’s mid-sized D65EX/PX/WX-15 and D85EX/PX-15 crawler dozers have Tier II-compliant SA6125E-3 engines and hydrostatic steering systems. The D65s operate with 190 hp and weigh 42,540 to 45,080 lb. Both models have independent hydraulic pumps with engine power transmitted to both tracks. Outside tracks are allowed to move faster than the inside tracks for a reduced turning radius. The dozers are designed with proportional-pressure control valves. An electronic-controlled modulation valve adjusts clutch engagements. The D85s have 240 hp at 9,000 rpm. they are available in the 61,735-lb EX-15 and the 60,740-lb PX-15. The blade on the D65s handle 4.8 to 7.35 cu yd, and the D85s handle 6.8 to 9.2 cu yd. Both have hexagonal-shaped cabs, tinted windows and suspension seats.
