Perkins' 1100 Series open power units have cross-flow heads, open top deck blocks on the four-cylinder engine and full-authority electronic control on the six-cylinder engine. Tailgate

East Manufacturing's smooth-sided dump trailers are available with smooth-walled tailgates. They are lighter than the sheet-and-post designs. Tailgates are built from double-wall aluminum extrusions, robotically-welded together. Each 2-in. thick extrusion has two internal ribs connecting the inner and outer skins. Dust Collector

Farr Air Pollution Control's Big Round Filter is a reverse air dust collector that features a domed tank head roof made of ⅜-in.-thick metal. The domed roof is combined with an all-welded housing of 7- and 10-gauge metal that the company says withstands 25-in. w.g. pressure. The system is self-contained and requires no plant compressed air. A rotating arm cleans the system. It has a perforated inner cone. Data Loggers

Dickson's display temperature and humidity data loggers have alarms and SD flash memory cards. The loggers are available in model SM300 for temperature, model SM320 for remote temperature, model SM325 for dual remote temperature, model TM320 for temperature and humidity, and model TM325 for remote temperature and humidity. All loggers feature high and low alarms, minimum and maximum displays and USB connectivity. Users can make decisions based on minimum and maximum readings on a digital display or wait for the alarm mode before downloading all data. White LED Dome Lamps

Grote Industries' SuperNova LED dome lamps are retrofitted for truck cabs, trailers and bodies. The company says, lamps last the life of the vehicle. Components are water and corrosion resistant and protected by a potting compound. Dome lamps operate in temperatures as low as 40° C. Surface-mount cab dome lamps are constructed with an extruded aluminum-base assembly and an internal light dispersion lens made from high-impact acrylic. LED trailer dome lamps are recessed into the trailer ceiling. The 4-in.-diameter metal flange and grommet-mounted LED dome lamps average an output of 84 lumens. Cole Hersee Co. says its circuit breaker and fuse blocks with grounding plates protect wiring, equipment and subsystems. They are available as 6-, 8- or 10-gang. Each accepts plug-in fuses and other circuit breakers. The circuit breaker and fuse blocks are protected by recessed fuse contacts. They are available for 12- or 24-volt DC applications. Gear Coupling

The Lovejoy/Sier-Bath Farr gear coupling is designed for underground and surface belt conveyors. The gear drive can be mounted directly to the conveyor. Power Generators

Terex has 13 power generators with outputs ranging from 16 to 325 kW. Three-phase outputs are available in 208, 220, 240, 416, 440, 480 AC volts. The units have single-phase outputs of 120, 127, 139, 240, 254 and 277 AC volts. The generators are powered by Perkins, John Deere or Isuzu diesel engines. Fuel tanks are incorporated in the structural base of the unit. They also have an automatic start controller. Generators operate at 68 dbA and feature single- or double-wall spill containment tanks. Control panels have black backgrounds and analog gauges that indicate water temperature, oil pressure, engine hours, fuel level and battery voltage. Power output is monitored in volts, amps and frequency. An engine control module monitors engine conditions and shuts the motor down immediately during fault conditions.
