Screw feeder
Diamondback's screw feeder retrofits existing bins to eliminate flooding, flushing and erratic flow. Along with the arch-breaking capabilites, the screw also densifies powders for sack or bag filling, seals against pressures and vacuums, and provides uniform density for weigh hopper applications, the company said. The manufacturer offers the screw feeder in 6-, 12- and 18-in. diameters. The feeder is coated on key areas with wear-resistant steel. Diamondback Technology, Inc., (805) 544-3775

Horizontal Shaft Impactor
Stedman's primary/secondary horizontal shaft impactor handles feed sizes beyond the range of conventional secondary impactors. There are five Mega-Slam models that can produce a cubical product, and in some operations, eliminate the need for primary reduction equipment, the company said. The crusher is capable of delivering from 550 to 700 tph with a 61- ¥ 46-in. feed opening. A positive breaker bar holding device with buried wedges minimizes wear as well as breaker bar installation, removal and indexing time. The solid rotor weldment is stress-relieved, balanced and ultra-sonic tested. The unit has reversible manganese monoblock aprons and interchangeable side liners. It also has optional 3-in.-thick replaceable secondary apron plates, standard rear apron spring bridge assembly and interchangeable housing liners made of 2-in.-thick hi-chrome or alloy steel. Liquid and Solid Level Monitor
Bernhard's level monitor houses both the sensor and the transmitter within the same enclosure. The Model 8000-KM transmits an ultrasonic pulse, which is directed toward the product being monitored. The unit can measure liquid levels up to 15 ft and solids up to 7 ft. The measurement is then converted to a digital display and a 4-20 MADC signal. According to Bernhard, the monitor is suited for applications where it is not practical or required to have a sensor on a tank top and the transmitter in a remote location. Megatex Screeners
The Rotex Megatex screener provides 100 to 350 sq ft of screen surface in a compact 10- ¥ 10- ¥ 12-ft machine. The screener, which is designed to be the equivalent to a bank of 10 screeners, evenly splits and distrubutes the incoming material to multiple, stacked 5- ¥ 7-ft screen decks. The units can produce as much as 200 tph and use a two-bank, multi-level screen deck arrangement to present 16 ft to 50 ft of width to the feed. This keeps bed depth low and maintains screen accuracy and efficiency at high capacities, the company said. Megatex's long-stroke, low-frequency drive creates a force level that spreads the material across the full width of the distribution panel. This eliminates the need for multiple process points and produces ball mesh cleaning to control binding. The company said low-frequency, gyratory screening also produces lower noise levels than those produced by vibratory screens. Rotex, Inc., (800) 453-2321
