Granite Facility Recognized as a California Green Business

Granite announced that its Santa Clara Asphalt facility in Santa Clara, Calif., has been recognized as a California Green Business by the California Green Business Network in acknowledgement of its efforts to conserve resources and prevent pollution to help make Santa Clara County a more sustainable community. Granite is the only asphalt plant with this designation in California.

ASTM International’s concrete and concrete aggregates committee (C09) has developed a test method aimed at improving and standardizing the way that resistance of concrete to electrical current flow helps assess its durability.

Chaney Golf Tournament Held at Reclaimed Quarry Site

Maryland-based construction-materials producer Chaney Enterprises raised more than $98,000 for the American Cancer Society as well as substance abuse and cancer research at its 20th Annual Babe & Dick Chaney Memorial Golf Tournament.
