Responding to a Suspected Opioid Overdose

Drug overdoses in the workplace can be better understood via a study recently published by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), particularly as drug-overdose fatalities increase across the country. The study, published online in the journal Injury Prevention, describes drug overdose deaths of workers occurring in U.S. workplaces between 2011-2016.

NSSGA Submits WOTUS Comments

The National Stone, Sand and Gravel Association (NSSGA) and member companies submitted comments to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to support the replacement of the 2015 Waters of the U.S. (WOTUS) Rule with an improved rule. This replacement proposal includes key suggestions from NSSGA, including exemptions for pits, water treatment systems, dry stream beds and isolated waters.
