Komatsu Dash-10 Excavator Has Environmentally Friendly Engine

Komatsu America Corp. offers the PC138USLC-10 tight-tail-swing hydraulic excavator for operations that need a machine to work in tight spaces in and around plant equipment. With an operating weight range of 31,791 - 32,628 lb. (14,420 - 14,800 kg), the PC138USLC-10’s short tail swing radius makes it an ideal machine for confined work areas. The EPA Tier 4 Interim and EU Stage 3B emissions certified machine is the newest addition to Komatsu’s Dash-10 excavator line up.

Komatsu Launches Its First Intelligent Machine

Komatsu America Corp. introduced the D61EXi/PXi-23, Komatsu’s first intelligent Machine Control model to the North American market. Thanks to its first fully automatic blade control, the D61i-23 dozer can perform not only finish grading, which has been possible with conventional Machine Control, but also rough dozing.

Caterpillar Global Mining Forms Alliance with Seeing Machines

Caterpillar Global Mining entered into an alliance agreement with Seeing Machines Limited to deliver and support operator fatigue monitoring technology through Cat Dealers. Seeing Machines, headquartered in Canberra, Australia, has developed fatigue monitoring systems using patented eye and head tracking technology to detect operator fatigue and distraction and to alert the mine controller and the machine operator.

Case Excavators Offer Advanced Fuel Economy

Case Construction Equipment introduced the new Tier 4 interim CX130C and CX160C excavators to its C Series product line, offering customers fuel economy increases of up to 8 percent and 5 percent, respectively, versus previous B Series models; resulting in increased productivity, along with lower overall owning and operating costs facilitated through easier maintenance.
