Cat Unveils Hydraulic Mining Shovel; Wheel Loader

LH-CAT-150In early November, Caterpillar unveiled two new products – 6020B Hydraulic Mining Shovel and 994K Wheel Loader – to trade press and customers during its Loading & Hauling Mining Focus Session at the company’s Tinaja Hills proving grounds, located south of Tucson, Ariz. Komatsu Launches Intelligent Machine Control Excavator

LH-Komatsu-150Komatsu America introduced the PC210LCi-10 intelligent Machine Control excavator to the North American market at a special event held at Komatsu Training and Demo Center in Cartersville, Ga. The event was attended by Rock Products Associate Editor Josephine Smith, the only aggregates industry editor on-hand for the event.

New Cat Wheel Loaders Boost Performance, Fuel Efficiency

LH-CAT-150The new Cat 950M and 962M wheel loaders – powered by a Cat C7.1 ACERT engine meeting Tier 4 Final emissions standards – significantly more powerful than their K-Series predecessors and deliver 10 percent better fuel efficiency, according to the company.

Doosan Telematics Package Now Standard

In response to greater demand for machine-to-machine communication, machine intelligence and remote equipment monitoring, Doosan has introduced an upgraded telematics package for its heavy equipment including excavators, wheel loaders and articulated dump trucks. The new system is called Doosan Telematics, and will be standard on all Doosan equipment, except for DX63-3 and DX85R-3 compact excavators.

Volvo Crawler Excavator Focuses on Fuel

Volvo150The new Volvo EC350E crawler excavator is an exceptionally productive machine that lowers operating costs through reduced fuel consumption and simple maintenance requirements in general applications, according to the company. Powered by a Tier 4 Final/Stage IV-compliant Volvo D13 engine, the EC350E delivers powerful digging and breakout forces alongside reduced emissions and up to a 9 percent improvement in fuel efficiency.
