In Topton, N.C., a limestone quarry was the recipient of the first Sandvik QE440 scalping screen in North America. William (Bill) McNeely has owned the site since 2006, continuing with operations which date back well before the Civil War. McNeely was in need of a heavy duty and quality scalper that could initially screen the heavy volume of material blasted off the face of the quarry every two weeks. After having extensively researched the market, the quality, production and mobility of the Sandvik QE440 were enough to make up McNeely’s mind.

Martin Engineering Roller Delivers Easy Idler Replacement

In a move aimed at delivering superior rolling support for conveyer belts, Martin Engineering introduced a new return roller. The new design is a track-mounted, pivoting, return-side idler that allows service and replacement from one side of the conveyor. The EVO Return Roller’s track-mounted assembly utilizes one-pin quick change functionality to make service fast and easy. As a result, the roll can be replaced by one person in less time, reducing the risk of injuries.
