Filtra-Systems' STiR industrial water filter is an automatic back-washable media filter with fluidization technology rather than sand, anthracite and carbon media filters. The company says this is eco-friendly media that regenerates media while generating backwash volume. The filter processes industrial wastewater and process water. The STiR filter is a down-flow media filter, capable of removing suspended solids and oils from water streams. Under normal operating conditions, filters remove up to 99% of suspended solids and insoluble hydrocarbons, without the use of water-treatment chemicals. By using a mixer instead of a pump or air sparger, the filter cleans all of the media in every cycle to eliminate media fouling, the company says. Single filtration units are able to process 50 to 6,500 gallons per minute each, depending on the application.

Thor Global's Thortrax low-profile mobile track system is an independent system for moving equipment. It can be used with crushers, screeners, grinders and trailers. The company says that with a fifth wheel hookup, it works well with ThorStack2 telescopic stackers. The stacker pivots directly on the track system, which acts as an anchor pad to eliminate the need for an external anchor pad. The Thortrax can be fitted with an external electrical power supply or an independent diesel generator. All standard units are wired directly to a push-button control box, which is configured with two speed settings (85 fpm and 170 fpm). Optional wireless remote operation capabilities are available. All units are equipped with an emergency-stop button located at the base of the unit.
