Flexco has expanded its Grand Rapids, Mich., facility to accommodate new products and enhance customer service. Flexco Grand Rapids, previously known as Clipper Belt Lacer, manufactures the Clipper Wire Hooks used for connecting light-duty conveyor belts in many industries. Clipper was acquired by Flexco in 1995.
The 60,000-sq.-ft. expansion nearly doubles the current space and primarily includes manufacturing processes. A 5,000-sq.-ft. training center, which accommodates up to 100 people, has been added along with a wellness/exercise center for employees and their families.
ìWe are very pleased with the way we have been able to serve customers from our Grand Rapids facility,î says Richard White, Flexco president and CEO. ìThis expansion will add more than just extra space. It will allow us to better support a wider range of product with increased efficiency levels. This expansion also supports Flexco's global focus and will provide the capabilities necessary to pursue that.î
