Aggregate Industries Reopens Swampscott Quarry

Aggregate Industries US, a Holcim Group Company, (www.aggregate-us.com) on August 17 reopened its Swampscott quarry located in Swampscott and Salem, Mass. “We are very happy to be reopening the quarry,” said Graham Hardwick, senior vice president, Aggregate Industries Northeast.

Cemex Asset Swap Helps TXI Expand Aggregates Presence in Central Texas

TXI announced that its subsidiary has entered into an asset swap with Cemex USA, in which TXI will acquire the ready mix and aggregate operations of Cemex that serve the Austin, Texas, metropolitan market. The transaction was finalized July 29 and includes one aggregate and three ready mixed concrete plants.
