According to the Standard Speaker, after eight public hearings, hours of testimony from experts and the public, and stacks of exhibits and material, the Dorrance Township, Pa., Board of Supervisors granted a conditional use permit for the expansion of a Pennsy Supply quarry.
Pennsy will move forward to begin its expansion project.
“We’re pleased with the supervisors’ permit approval. We’ve worked with the supervisors. I feel our plan, our design, adequately addressed the environment and the concerns of the residents and it protects the 150 jobs that depend on the quarry,” Pennsy President Patrick Bartorillo said.
