DUST COLLECTION CYCLONES
High-efficiency and high-volume dust collection cyclones, custom made in carbon or stainless steel with round or square inlets, operate without filter media. Various mounting flanges, duct work, fans, and airlocks, plus a heavy-duty support structure, allow installation of complete integrated systems.
HE series cyclones provide high-efficiency separation of dust and particulates from plant and process air. Engineered to handle high temperature, moisture-content and airflow levels, they can be used as prefilters to remove large particles that may damage filter media. HE cyclones often are ganged to meet greater air-volume demands.
HV series cyclones, typically big enough to handle large air volumes without ganging, suit outdoor installations lacking size restrictions. These units serve as primary product receivers to separate process materials from conveying air.
Both HE and HV models feature an involute inlet that runs 180 degrees around the cyclone to optimize action inside the unit. A rotatable draw-through can be positioned for clean-air discharge. The cyclone hopper cone features an 8-inch-diameter bolted inspection door, and the standard 75-degree hopper slope aids particle flow.
Induction-hardened Ultra 600 steel pipe features an abrasion-resistant interior that tapers to a strong, yet ductile outer surface. On the Brinell Scale of increasing hardness from 200 BHN A-R steel through 800 BHN cast iron, the pipe's inner surface at 600 BHN can withstand most common abrasives and tapers to a 250 BHN outer surface able to accommodate handling, installation and maintenance. Because the outer surface behaves like mild steel, the product can be cut and welded in the field, configured into a variety of fittings, and can accept flanges, weld rings and couplings. Ultra 600 is available in diameters up to 40 inches and in varying lengths and wall thickness.
Model 352B70 is the newest sensor in its family of accelerometers designed for high random-vibration shaker testing. It has a ±5000g measurement range to accommodate varying amplitudes; a built-in, two-pole, low-pass filter to help reduce likelihood of saturation due to the presence of high-frequency energy above the target range; and hermetically sealed, titanium housing. Weighing 4.3-grams, the sensor also is electrically isolated to prevent unwanted interference or ground loops. Mounting studs and an adhesive base suit various mounting options.
