Twin Eagle Breaks Ground for New Terminal

Twin Eagle Sand Logistics has broken ground on the Permian Rail Park. The Permian Rail Park is located on the Union Pacific Railway approximately eight miles west of the city of Big Spring, Texas. The 530-acre rail park is Twin Eagle’s fifth terminal development and is centrally located to serve the Eastern side of the Permian Basin.

Select Sands Says Land Clearing Complete at Sandtown

Select Sands Corp. announced that land clearing is complete and the company has requested U.S.-based contractors to submit bids for test mining and processing at its Sandtown project in Arkansas. Company management will be meeting with various contractors to select the contractors to commence the work right away.

USGS Releases Nonmetallic Minerals Products Index

The nonmetallic mineral products industry leading index decreased 2.4 percent to 240.5 in July from a revised 246.3 in June, and its 6-month smoothed growth rate fell to -0.7 percent from 4.3 percent in June. The 6-month smoothed growth rate is a compound annual rate that measures the near-term trend.
