Philippi-Hagenbuch Marks 45th Anniversary

Since its founding, PHIL has grown into an international company focusing on innovations for haulage equipment that has a wide reach, yet retains its modest, family owned footprint in Peoria, Ill.

North American Truck Orders Spike for Volvo

VOLVO-150Volvo said orders in North America improved by 73 percent and reached a total of 17,772 vehicles, up from 10,251 the previous year, as the group gained market share in the region. Net orders in the third quarter amounted to 50,449 trucks, up from 44,224 vehicles a year ago while orders in Asia grew by 4 percent, while those in Europe and South America declined by 6 percent and 16 percent respectively.

Terex MPS Names Armstrong Equipment Florida Dealer

TerexMPS-150Armstrong Equipment has been named the dealer for the Terex Minerals Processing Systems (MPS) line in Florida and the Bahamas. Armstrong has successfully covered territories in Central and South America from its Miami-based operation for Terex MPS, and will now offer the full crushing and screening product range in Florida and the Bahamas as well.

Yokohama Growing Larger

YOKOHAMA-150Yokohama Tire Corp. (YTC) announced  it is relocating its corporate headquarters from Fullerton, Calif., to nearby Santa Ana, Calif. to accommodate business growth. The move is expected to take place in November.

ABB Promotes Energy Efficiency

UNGeneral Assembly by PatrickGrubanABB announced at the UN Climate Summit in New York that it is joining the United Nations Environment Program’s global action on improving appliance and equipment efficiency. The company will provide expertise on energy efficient motors and transformers to help governments devise policies that accelerate energy savings.
