Metso Establishes Joint Venture

Metso Establishes Joint Venture Metso Minerals has entered into a 50-50 joint venture with LiuGong that will be headquartered in Shanghai. LiuGong-Metso will combine Metso’s know-how in track-mounted crushing, screening and technology with LiuGong’s extensive distribution and manufacturing resources in China. LiuGong-Metso will design and manufacture localized versions of Metso’s Lokotrack mobile crushers and screens under dual branding: LiuGong Metso.

Ellicott Honored

Ellicott HonoredMarch 13, 2014 – In a ceremony at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the Overseas Private Investment Corporation’s (OPIC) President and Chief Executive Officer Elizabeth L. Littlefield presented Ellicott Dredge Enterprises, LLC and its Ellicott Dredges LLC entity with OPIC’s inaugural “Impact Award” for Ellicott’s work in Iraq. Ellicott was one of only eight organizations across the country receiving this award from OPIC, the U.S. Government’s development finance institution.

John Deere Opens in Brazil

John Deere Hitachi ExcavatorsFebruary 13, 2014 ­– The John Deere Construction & Forestry Division marked the completion of two world-class manufacturing facilities in Indaiatuba-SP, Brazil. John Deere will manufacture backhoe loaders and wheel loaders in one location and excavators, in partnership with Hitachi Construction Machinery, in the other. Customers in Brazil have utilized John Deere agriculture equipment for over 60 years and the expansion marks a significant investment in the company’s construction business in the market.
