Simlog PC-based off-highway truck simulators are designed for heavy-equipment-operator training in the mining industry. Developed in collaboration with OEM and training professionals, it puts trainees at the controls of a heavy hauler, providing mission-critical skills assessment, skills development and refresher training. It is available in English, French and Spanish. Six simulation modules of increasing difficulty are provided. The first one, Controls Familiarization, introduces the operator controls. The final one, Complete Haul Cycle, combines loading, driving and dumping. A simulated Wheel Loader is built right in to help teach truck-spotting interaction. Two kinds of operator interfaces are available: PC Controls, consisting of off-the-shelf PC input devices, or Replica Controls, with operator control elements from real off-highway trucks.
