Brigade Electronics' Back-up Alarm

Article Tools

Brigade Electronics' back-up alarm uses broadband sound technology, which is a gentle shooshing sound. The company says it improves safety and reduces the risk of hearing damage that can be caused by the normal narrowband beeping alarms. It was designed for operation in noise-sensitive residential and commercial areas, where noise complaints are a growing problem. It is instantly locatable and identifies which vehicle is reversing. Broadband sound does not rely on high decibels to be heard because its multiple frequencies do not have to compete with other single-frequency sounds. The multifrequency sound is dissipated over a very short distance. The range of back-up alarms covers heavy-, medium- and light-duty applications ranging in decibel level from 107 dB(A) down to 77 dB(A). There also is a Backchat speaking back-up alarm. For forward movement there is a range of constant tone alarms. Brigade Electronics
