Wildcat Minerals has opened a new frac sand and proppant transloading storage facility in Odessa, Texas. In addition, the company is near completion of modifications to its unit train capable facility in East Fairview, ND.
These changes now enable the company to store more than 34,000 tons of proppants and receive unit trains, further enhancing its position as the “premier national materials handler of oilfield consumables,” according to the company.
The Odessa Facility is fully operational and currently receiving manifest shipments of frac sand and proppants. Wildcat’s investment in this state-of-the-art, world class loading facility further increases the geographic footprint of the company and enhances its position as the nation’s largest independent materials handler of oilfield consumables, including frac sand and proppants.
Steve Herron, Wildcat’s chief executive officer said the company is "very excited to open our fifth transloading terminal in Texas and our 18th terminal nationwide. Wildcat’s expansion into the Permian further increases our national footprint and allows us to assist our customers in lowering their costs to bring their products to the wellhead.”
Pete Melcher, president and chief operating officer said, "We are pleased at the opportunities that have arisen from the Odessa Terminal. This facility provides a best-in-class location for customers to increase their velocity to the wellhead."
