Rail Congestion a First-Quarter Obstacle for Hi-Crush

Hi-Crush Partners LP reported revenues for the first quarter of 2018 totaled $218.1 million on sales of 2,617,627 tons of frac sand. This compares to $216.5 million of revenues on sales of 2,985,115 tons of frac sand in the fourth quarter of 2017.

Weather, Plant Start-Ups, Drag Down Fairmont Santrol First Quarter

Fairmount Santrol announced results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2018. Total company volumes sold were 3.2 million tons for the quarter, down 4 percent from the fourth quarter of 2017 but an increase of 20 percent from 2.7 million tons in the first quarter of 2017.

Athabasca Minerals Inc. entered into a Letter of Intent with a property owner in the town of Mayerthorpe, Alberta, Canada, for a storage and distribution hub to serve its Firebag Frac Sand Project.
