Company will have several products on display at this year’s show. The PowerROC T35 E (pictured) is an extendable boom version of the previous T35 drilling rig. This no-cabin model provides straighter holes, more safety and comfort for the operator and easy-access maintenance. The PowerROC was designed with an aluminum feed system to drill straighter holes. The T35 E feed system also uses a cylinder with cables that drives the rock drill cradle to provide more consistent ground contact with the drill bit for higher quality holes. Atlas-Copco will also feature the FlexiROC D65-10 down-the-hole drill rig, the single-deck HS1 screener, and the PC3 impact crusher at its booth.

BMH offers concrete batch plants for vertical, low-profile or gravity installations, with reversing drum or twin-shaft mixers; automatic monitoring; seismic provisions depending on zone; small footprint configurations; and all-seasons output. The high-capacity RollMaster is a drum mixer that rotates forward at full speed to produce concrete, reversing at variable speed for discharge.

BTI will showcase three new products at ConExpo-Con/Agg. The APV Mine Runner is a modern day solution for safety, lower emissions and increased productivity. The BXR185 is the company’s biggest hydraulic hammer yet, weighing in at 15,400 lb. with a rock shattering 18,500 ft.-lb. force. The fifth generation NT-E Series Rockbreaker (pictured) stationary hydraulic boom system, which comes with the newly engineered PP60 Power Pack, is loaded with innovative features such as robust connections, improved pedestal mounting and common cylinders sizes. The PP60 Power Pack comes standard with a 60-L reservoir, continuous oil circulation, oil level sight glass, temperature gauge, pressurized filter cap, pressure filter and starter panel mounting.

Brokk will announce the launch of two new machines to its lineup, the Brokk 60 and 400D to the North America market at their booth. At a height of just 34.4 in., the Brokk 60 is the smallest remote-controlled demolition machine in the world, noted the company. It features the same mounting plate as the Brokk 50 it replaces, so all the same attachments are compatible. Brokk developed the diesel-powered 400D (pictured) with all the benefits of the older model 330D in a heavier-duty machine. The 400D delivers a 60 percent increase in transport speed over its predecessor. The unit also boosts productivity with its new and improved control system.

The 201ADMIX is an accurate and reliable weight-based admixture dispensing system designed for the ready mix and concrete products industries that offers a number of distinct advantages over flow meter systems. Users may calibrate the scale by choice of weight or fluid ounces. The 201ADMIX’s static and dynamic trim help provide highly-accurate valve discharge cut-offs for increased accuracy. The system provides a bold, highly-visible 0.5-in.-high LCD readout of the amount of fluids dispensed for a quick visual verification of weight status. Multiple dispenser systems installed side by side can each have their own unique color-coded LCD, since the 201ADMIX features seven different LCD colors available.

The Monarch Model CMG28-12-PCR-X proppant Crush Test is press to meet critical demands of ISO 13502-2:2006 (API # RP56&60) with excellent cycle repeatability. For use with frac sand, resin coated sand and ceramic proppant, this Monarch press provides compression force ranging from 2 to 28 tons within a 2.5 percent deviation. A proportional hydraulic system is able to apply a constant rate of 3.8 MPa/min. The operator interface features an easy setup of control parameters, plenty of recipe storage, closed-loop control of clamp pressure, and “Mini” ViewPoint control system with Allen Bradley programmable controller and PanelView Touch screen interface.

CASE will showcase major new product introductions to its heavy product line. This includes the new CASE M Series dozer line, and updates to primary heavy product lines such as excavators, wheel loaders and compactors. The M Series dozers were introduced in North America in October, and will be fully launched to the market by March. The new product line includes five models ranging from 92 to 214 net hp. M Series dozers were redesigned from the ground up and feature: best-in-class drawbar pull; increased horsepower ratings; the first selective catalytic reduction (SCR) technology built into a dozer; fuel savings up to 14 percent; industry leading visibility; a pressurized cab; and versatile ergonomic controls for an optimal work environment.

Four Caterpillar exhibit areas totaling about 60,000 sq. ft. of floor space will showcase more than 40 machines, most with integrated technologies that help equipment operators, managers and owners get the most from each machine, each hour of operation and throughout its full life cycle. The displays also present a variety of Cat work tools, U.S. EPA Tier 4 Final engines, components and service parts, all designed and manufactured to optimize the performance of Cat machines. In the large North Hall exhibit, the 336F Hybrid Hydraulic Excavator will be on display as well as the largest of the new F Series line, the 390F. The new M Series wheel loader line will be represented by the 972M XE.

The Turbo 80 VSI Crusher, an efficient, highly productive vertical-shaft impact crusher capable of processing a variety of aggregate materials and industrial minerals, will be featured at the company’s booth. CDE will formally launch the new M4500 wash plant for construction, mining, recycling and industrial sands applications at their booth. With a capacity of 450 tph, the M4500 portable wash plant is a revolution in modular washing equipment offering feeding, screening, sand washing and stockpiling on a compact chassis and enabling the production of four products to a required specification.

Curry Supply On-Road Water Truck features the company’s latest tank design with a new integrated spray bar, fill pipe, ladder and light brackets. The 725 Articulated Water Tank has improved its light placement to aid operator visibility in harsh environments. The tank requires no welding for those customers who prefer to self-assemble, making installation fast and easy. Also on display will be the Curry Supply Lube Skid, which features front, rear and side forklift access points to conveniently move it around the job site as needed. Aluminum options are available for use in corrosive environments and weight savings.

Continuing its commitment to ongoing innovation, the company will launch its new BFO-11224-EX2 Mine-Duty Screen at the show. Offering the next generation in machine size and production output, this 12- x 24-ft., horizontal, single-deck unit delivers day-to-day reliability and high-volume capacities in a variety of hard rock mining and mineral processing applications. The BFO-11224 features the new Deister EX Series of geared exciters, which are designed to create the force output required to drive today’s large screens. Geared exciters feature all-steel components; specially-coated bearing inner races to deter wear on shafts; and shafts that are case-hardened and ground for minimal wear. Mechanisms are sealed to minimize oil contaminants and maximize bearing life.

The giant atomized misting unit stands nearly 8 ft. tall, and can cover a massive area of 280,000 sq. ft. from a single location. The DB-100 was designed with input from some of the leading mining and quarrying companies in the world, with data collected from numerous site visits, where visibility around huge working areas can be profoundly impacted by dust.

A series of changes to the company’s line of Mark V controls for its Sand Classifying Tanks have led to the development of the Mark VI line, which will be introduced at the show. The Mark VI was designed to make operations even simpler for producers and eliminate many of the problems that can arise with Sand Classifying Tanks. The list of improvements to the operating system is extensive, but some key features include: improving accuracy and simplicity of the calibration process; increase number of products; predicts product tonnages; and F.M. tracking fine-tunes product.

A patented roll-burnished journal finish extends seal life up to four-fold, and exclusive double-lip seals on both input and output shafts provide leak-proof operation. Four unit models are available from stock with a center distance range of 1.0 to 6.0 in., ratios from 4:1 to 3600:1, and output torques from 82 to 22,416 ft.-lb.

The Eriez HVF Mechanical Feeder is a spring -oupled, two-mass vibrating system with a motor-driven eccentric shaft. The hand-wheel adjustable variable-speed sheaves help to achieve an accurate control of flow rate for the feeders, which can be up to 60 ft./minute. HVF Feeders can also control up to 2,000 tons of material per hour. The feeders’ adjustable-angle rubber springs can be removed and replaced in less than two minutes and are also designed to amplify the trough stroke, resulting in low horsepower requirements. The motion of the troughs can be adjusted to accommodate the flow rate for specific applications and a variety of trough sizes and types are available.

Cutting-edge products on display will include the Talon HVX Series Portable Vehicle Scale, which is constructed with multiple 10-in. and 12-in. Structural Steel I-beams. These massive supports, coupled with the highest deflection rating on the market, notes the company, produce an extremely rigid and durable portable weighbridge. Fairbanks will also feature its FB2550 Driver Assist Terminal, designed to speed the vehicle-weighing process and reduce associated operating costs. By allowing drivers to remain inside their vehicles, the FB2550 DAT eliminates safety concerns and liabilities due to drivers walking across scale platforms and traffic lanes. Additionally, show attendees will be able to view the 1605T Series Remote Display, and to watch and discuss with experts how it operates.

Systems typically include portable or stationary jaw and/or impactor-based crushing, screening, conveying, storage and material handling equipment and structures. Grasan can supply equipment or work with equipment provided by or as designated by customers. The company can design from the ground-up or implement the customers’ basic ideas.

Visitors will have an opportunity to weld with new filler metals, as well as to meet with Hobart representatives to receive product recommendations and/or have their welding questions answered. New products to be displayed and demoed at the show include the following: Hobart Element family of low manganese wires; Hobart 610 stick electrodes; Hobart MEGAFIL seamless gas-shielded flux-cored and metal-cored wires; and Hobart FabCO 712M gas-shielded flux-cored wires. In addition, Hobart Brothers will display multiple hardfacing wires and stick electrodes.

Several polyurethane screening systems and polyurethane screening surfaces are available from Hoyt. Both modular polyurethane screening media and tensioned polyurethane panels are available to suit customers’ specific screening application. Hoyt supplies replacement panels for most modular screening systems in sizes 1- x 1-ft., 1- x 2-ft. and 1- x 4-ft. Superior polyurethane composition and abrasion-resistant compounds are used by Hoyt to produce all of our replacement panels. Many tensioned panels are readily available to increase wear-life and improve screening efficiency in circumstances where material specifications frequently change. Heavy-duty impact panels can be supplied for the feed area, while greater production polyurethane-tensioned panels can be used on the discharge positions (pictured) where screening efficiency is the primary concern.

Komatsu recently announced the introduction of its new EPA-certified Tier 4 Final diesel engines, built on the company’s progressive engineering improvements to
reduce emissions. The Tier 4 Final technology will be integrated into Komatsu America’s construction and mining engines ranging in size from 3.3 to 46 liters, and started commercial production in January. New regulations effective in 2014 require the reduction of NOx emissions to one-tenth or below levels required by preceding regulations. Komatsu’s Tier 4 Final solution builds on proven and reliable technologies utilized for Tier 4 Interim engines. Examples of these Komatsu-developed technologies include: next-generation high-pressure common rail fuel injection (HPCR) system; high-efficiency exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system; Komatsu Variable Geometry Turbocharger (KVGT); and Komatsu Diesel Particulate Filter (KDPF).

The Pitbull 2300, which is available in both diesel and electric-powered models, was developed with simple operation, maintenance and transport in mind. The machine incorporates several unique features most notably full hydraulic operation, tubular frame construction, a Torflex axle and a reversible shaker. The Pitbull 2300’s 20-ft.-long stacking conveyor adjusts hydraulically from heights of 6 ft., 8 in. up to 13 ft. to feed material directly into a tri-axle or dump truck.

Company offers a newer version of the patent-pending “STAG” Bucket – a new style, high penetration bucket utilizing the “Staggered Tooth” technology. The STAG bucket design allows the operator to focus the excavator’s full breakout force on one tooth at a time because the front leading edge is steeped and angled. This new version positions the first tooth closer to the center of the bucket, each successive tooth alternating back and forth so that each tooth hits the material sequentially. Angled edge configurations are available that have one of the corner teeth penetrating first, but the teeth are still staggered. Available for any excavator from 11,000 to 220,000 lb.

The first will be a cone crusher, and the second is McLanahan’s re-invention of the single-toggle/overhead eccentric jaw crusher. McLanahan has developed a line of hard rock jaw crushers with major design innovations that will change the operation of a primary crushing station from a low to a high productivity element in the processing system. The first size in the series, a 44- x 50-in., will be on display in the booth highlighting what makes this new jaw crusher design safer, simpler and smarter than any that is currently on the market.

This new mobile equipment reduces transportation costs and set-up time while delivering optimum fuel efficiency. It is designed to work together with the Lokotrack LT106 mobile jaw plant, which will also be showcased at the booth. The Lokotrack ST2.8 mobile screen will also be on display. The ST2.8 is ideal for recycling and multi-stage crushing applications, offering improved material separation with more precision and reduced fuel consumption. Metso’s booth will also highlight some of the company’s impressive milestones.

The new Model MR-7 Screener with its compact, highly-efficient design is specially engineered for conveyor-type installations. Scheduled to be introduced at the company’s booth, the double-deck MR-7 allows materials to be separated from an approximately 1-in. opening on the top deck to a separation down to 1/8-in. opening on the bottom screening deck. This deck combination with end-tensioned panels provides a screening unit that can effectively handle sand, gravel, crushed stone, and many other industrial-type materials. The MR-7 Screener (48- x 84-in.) comes complete with 2-hp, 230/460-volt, 3-Phase, 60-cycle, 1750-RPM motor, V-drive components, and belt guard and conveyor installation carriage members.

Trakpactor 320SR mid-sized horizontal impact crusher is redesigned for excellent reduction and high consistency of product shape in the most demanding quarry and recycling applications. Features include rapid setup time, fuel efficient direct drive, and a recirculating conveyor. Warrior 2100 heavy-duty screen includes Powerscreen’s unique triple-shaft technology first developed for the Warrior 2400 and proven in worldwide use.

MIXLink is designed to offer users real-time visibility into key process indicators (KPIs) such as Btu/ton, energy cost/ton, etc. In addition conditional alerts, technician routing and compliance data gathering become automated. The MIXLInk base unit connects directly to the PLC that runs the HMA plant. Anything the PLC interacts with can now be transferred to the cloud and the MIXLink dashboard. The base unit has 50 tags but more can be added to cover all the variables you want to monitor.

Talbert will be featuring the telescopic 55-ton hydraulic removable gooseneck (HRG) trailer. It was designed with a telescopic deck capable of extending from 30 to 50 ft. long. Extended, the unit has a 27-ft. wood deck in the front and a 3-ft. wood platform in the rear with beams stretching between. The trailer expands and locks in 4-ft. increments. The HRG features a 96-in. swing radius and a gooseneck extension with a 120-in. swing clearance. While the competition offers 22- and 24-in. deck heights, Talbert offers this telescopic HRG with a 20-in. deck height, notes the company. The trailer can be shortened to less than 53 ft. so there is no need to obtain an over-length permit when the trailer is running empty.

The Mobile Hydro-Clean washing system will be on display. Like the original Hydro-Clean, the portable unit effectively cleans deleterious material from aggregate, recycled and other minerals. The results are cleaner products with higher selling value and profits from material that was previously considered waste. In the process, the Hydro-Clean uses up to 75 percent less water than traditional washers and 15 percent less energy, notes the company. The unit comprises a vertical drum-shaped washing container with a feed hopper at its entry and a conveyor belt at its discharge. The washing chamber contains a rotating washing head with several water nozzles mounted on the top of the chamber. It also features polyurethane panels that line the washing chamber.
