"I would also like to thank my father and mother for making me aware at a very young age what a fantastic opportunity the construction industry offered. Most importantly I would like to thank my wife of 38 years, Vikki, for her unwavering support, dedication and commitment to my career with Chaney Enterprises and our industry! I am very much looking forward to continuing to serve Chaney Enterprises as a director for many years to come! Chaney Enterprises and everyone actively engaged with it have an extremely bright future."

Randy Lake

RS021919 LakeRandy Lake, president of CRH Americas Materials, addressed the National Stone, Sand and Gravel Association (NSSGA) Annual Convention on Feb. 10 for the final time as chairman of the association. “It was an honor to serve as NSSGA Chairman this past year,” he said. “One thing that strikes me time and time again in our businesses, and across the aggregates and building materials industry, is the common thread among our people who are committed to safety, hard work, getting things done and doing a great job. I want to thank each of you for your support and participation in your association this year. You have helped to further establish NSSGA as the advocacy leader in the construction materials industry.” Thanks to Randy for his year or service.

Curt Biehn

RS072919 Curt BiehnCurt Biehn, Mississippi Lime Co. (MLC) Flue Gas Treatment (FGT) business director was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2019 Reinhold Conference in Birmingham, Ala. Biehn has worked for MLC for nearly 12 years. During that time, he has been recognized as an instrumental resource for the coal-fired utility industry. Prior to joining MLC, Biehn worked for Elementis Pigments and Afton Chemical. He earned a master’s degree in organic chemistry from Ohio State University and a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville. In his current role, he has oversight for MLC’s business development, product development and applications technology for all FGT-related opportunities. Biehn holds three patents that highlight the value that he has brought to provide novel, cost-effective acid-gas control technologies to the industry.

Because after 20 years, Yaksich left a firm footprint across the industry thanks to the many personal relationships and impact he made during his tenure. For dedicated service to AEM and the industry's equipment manufacturers, Yakich is certainly a Rock Star!
