Atlas Copco to acquire GIA

AtlasCopco_LogoWhiteBlueDecember 28, 2011 – Atlas Copco AB has agreed to acquire the underground business of GIA Industri AB from Vätterledens Verkstad AB. With the acquisition, Atlas Copco broadens its offering with products including electric mine trucks, utility vehicles and ventilation systems. “This is an important acquisition for the U.S. market,” noted Ed Tanner, Atlas Copco’s business line manager for underground rock excavation equipment in the United States. “We’re going to be able to support a greater portion of our existing customers’ operations, as well as be able to enter new markets.”

Haver & Boecker, W.S. Tyler And Major Wire Form Screening Alliance

Bridgestone Americas Announces OTR Price Increase

BridgestoneLOGO-24November 22, 2011 – Bridgestone Americas Commercial Solutions (BACS), a business of Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations, announced that effective Jan. 1, 2012, it will increase base prices on Bridgestone, Firestone and Continuum off-road tire products and Continuum pre-cure tread rubber and related retreading materials by 15 percent in the United States and 10 percent in Canada.

Long Inducted into AEM Hall of Fame
