White House Releases State Infrastructure Fact Sheets

The White House released state-by-state fact sheets that highlight the urgent need in every state across the country for the infrastructure investments proposed by President Biden in the American Jobs Plan.

The plan seeks to modernize 20,000 miles of highways, roads and main-streets. It will fix the 10 most economically significant bridges in the country in need of reconstruction. It also will repair the worst 10,000 smaller bridges, providing critical linkages to communities. And, it will replace thousands of buses and rail cars, repair hundreds of stations, renew airports, and expand transit and rail into new communities.

The new state-by-state fact sheets highlight the number of bridges and miles of road in each state in poor condition, the percentage of households without access to broadband, the billions of dollars required for water infrastructure, among other infrastructure needs.

Individual fact sheets for each of the 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico are linked here.
