Future Looks Good for Infrastructure

Jan. 7, 2021 – The presidential election is certified and the Georgia Senate races have been decided. End result, Democrats will control the presidency, the House and the Senate. It is almost certain that a substantial infrastructure bill is coming our way. And that is good news for the long-term health of the aggregates industry. “The National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) is ready to get to work this year with President-elect Biden and is encouraged by his proposed Cabinet’s discussion of a potential long-term infrastructure bill,” said Michael Johnson, president and CEO of the NSSGA. “Democrats for some time have been sharing their desire to move an infrastructure package in 2021. And we know that investment in infrastructure will have a ripple effect across the country to benefit our overall economic health. As always, no matter who is in control in Washington, NSSGA will continue to advocate for our members top priority of infrastructure investment with increased levels of spending.”
