Aug. 19, 2020 – The National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) will host U.S. Sen. Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va), and House Republican Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) during this year’s Legislative & Policy Forum on Sept. 21-23. The event will be held virtually. Sen. Capito is scheduled to speak during the Breakfast with a Lawmaker session on Wednesday, Sept. 23 from 8-9 a.m. She is the first female U.S. senator in West Virginia’s history and currently serves on the Appropriations Committee; the Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee; the Environment and Public Works (EPW) Committee; and the Rules and Administration Committee. She also serves as chairman of the EPW Committee’s Transportation and Infrastructure Subcommittee and is dedicated to revitalizing the nation’s failing infrastructure.
Rep. Scalise is scheduled to speak during the coffee break on Wednesday, Sept. 23 during Hill Day from 2:30-3:00 p.m. He currently serves his colleagues as the House Republican Whip, the second highest position in House Republican leadership, and as a senior member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee. Serving in this capacity makes him an excellent industry ally, as he is setting policy and is always willing to work with Republican and Democrat colleagues to pass important legislation.
Register today (and encourage your colleagues to do the same) to secure your spot to hear from Sen. Capito, Rep. Scalise and other D.C. insiders during this year’s FREE virtual event for all members. You won’t want to miss it!
