Source Extends Contract with Shell in Canada

Source Energy Services Ltd. has extended and expanded its contract with Shell Canada Limited. Under the revised agreement, Source will continue to provide Northern White frac sand to Shell for its Duvernay wells.

The expanded agreement will also have Source supplying proppant for Shell’s Groundbirch and Gold Creek plays in the Montney region. The revised agreement will continue until the end of 2023.

“As the leading supplier of high-quality Northern White proppant to operators in the WCSB, Source is excited to support Shell’s operations in the Duvernay and Montney regions,” said Brad Thomson, chief executive officer of Source. “By providing supply certainty for their well sites, we will enable them to ensure smooth operations.”

Source’s Fox Creek, Alberta terminal will be providing service to Shell’s Duvernay wells. The projects in the Montney region will be supplied by Source’s Chetwynd and Wembley terminals.

“The extension and expansion of the contract with one of the leading operators in the world is a testament to Source’s high-quality service offering,” commented Scott Melbourn, chief operating officer of Source. “We are thrilled to be working with Shell for another three and a half years.”
