The National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) announced Kerry Lynch will join the organization as director of communications and press secretary. Lynch brings a wealth of experience in supporting policy issues through strategic communications initiatives.

“We are very excited to bring Kerry on board to strengthen our communications efforts,” said NSSGA President and CEO Michael W. Johnson. “Kerry’s experience in working with reporters and representing the priorities of trade associations will be a great asset to communicate the value of the aggregates industry.”

Lynch most recently served as the director of public affairs for Michael Torrey Associates, where she executed communications strategies for clients across various sectors. She received a 2018 Thoth Award from PRSA-NCC for her contributions to a social media advocacy campaign launched ahead of the 2018 Farm Bill.

“Kerry has a great ability to understand public policy issues and communicate them effectively to target audiences,” said Chuck Fuqua, NSSGA vice president of communications. “I am excited to have Kerry as part of our team to communicate the positive impact aggregates producers have on our economy and in our communities.”

Prior to her work at Michael Torrey Associates, Lynch performed media relations, brand management and events for several organizations. Lynch graduated magna cum laude in communications-public relations from North Carolina State University and has a MBA from Shenandoah University in Virginia.

“I am thrilled to join the NSSGA team and look forward to developing and advancing the association’s message,” said Lynch. “The aggregates industry is vital to our nation’s growth and will be an essential part of our economic recovery and progress in the coming months. I am excited to use my talent for strategic planning and advocacy background to promote our members and the important work they do.”
