Granite Named One of World’s Most Ethical Companies

Granite Construction Inc. has been recognized by the Ethisphere Institute, a global leader in defining and advancing the standards of ethical business practices, as one of the 2019 World’s Most Ethical Companies.

Granite has been recognized for 10 consecutive years and is one of only four honorees in the Construction & Building Materials industry.

In 2019, 128 honorees were recognized spanning 21 countries and 50 industries. The 30th class of honorees profoundly illustrate how companies continue to be the driving force for improving communities, building capable and empowered workforces, and fostering corporate cultures focused on ethics and a strong sense of purpose.

“We are extremely honored and proud to be recognized by Ethisphere for the 10th consecutive year for our high standards of ethics. At Granite, doing the right thing is at the core of who we are as a company,” said Granite President and Chief Executive Officer James H. Roberts. “We are fortunate at Granite to have extraordinary employees who embrace our Core Values and nurture the strong ethical core that our founders incorporated into our fabric nearly 100 years ago.”

“Today, employees, investors and stakeholders are putting their greatest trust in companies to take leadership on societal issues. Companies like Granite that take the long view with a purpose-based strategy are proven to not only outperform but last,” said Ethisphere’s Chief Executive Officer Timothy Erblich. “I congratulate everyone at Granite for earning this recognition.”
