The National Stone, Sand and Gravel Association’s (NSSGA) Young Leaders (YL) is a group of industry professionals 40 years old and younger. The group’s keystone event is the YL Annual Meeting, held each spring.
Education sessions and networking help to develop leadership and management skills, address industry positions, build a national network of industry professionals, exchange ideas and discuss areas of mutual interest that will help them and their companies become more successful in the aggregates industry. YL offers opportunities to make new relationships and strengthen existing relationships within the industry and NSSGA.
This year, YL will hold its annual meeting April 28–May 1, at the Omni Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort, Hilton Head, S.C.
The YL Annual Meeting is open to all who work in the aggregates industry who are 40 years of age and younger. This includes materials producers, equipment manufacturers and service providers. Spouses and guests are also welcome and encouraged to attend all professional development sessions, networking events, community service projects and tours. Registration for children under 18 is complimentary.
The YL Steering Committee is committed to advancing the mission of the NSSGA Young Leaders. Committee members are responsible for assisting in recruiting new members, promoting YL, participating in NSSGA’s advocacy efforts and coordinating various aspects of the Annual Meeting.
The YL Steering Committee consists of active NSSGA members who are 40 years of age and younger. Committee members are eligible to serve two consecutive three-year terms or until that person reaches 40 years of age, whichever comes first. YL Steering Committee members are required to attend in-person Steering Committee meetings at the NSSGA Annual Convention and the NSSGA Legislative & Policy Forum/Fall Board Meeting.
