Dyno Nobel Hires Lusk as Vice President

Dyno Nobel announced that Braden Lusk joined Dyno Nobel as vice president of DynoConsult and applications technology, effective Aug. 1. Lusk comes to Dyno Nobel with extensive technical experience in the blasting and explosives industry and is considered an industry leader in his field.

In addition to earning a B.S. and PhD in mining engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology, Rolla, Lusk has been the professor and chair of mining and nuclear engineering at Rolla since 2016. Prior to that, he was professor and director of graduate studies in mining engineering at the University of Kentucky where he was promoted through the ranks of assistant, associate and full professor from 2006 to 2016.

Lusk has substantial work experience from 1997 to 2003 with companies including Cargill Salt, Dykon Blasting, Marston & Marston and Hutchison Salt. He is well published with nearly 100 publications, conference papers, book chapters, technical reports and research papers. He holds many blasting and explosives related certifications and is a professional engineer in the states of Kentucky, Ohio and Missouri.  

Lusk has held many influential positions with the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, BATF, ISEE, and SME. “We are looking forward to having Braden join the Dyno Nobel team,” said Len Smith senior vice president of marketing and channel management.
