Precision Inc. announced that effective Jan. 15, Matt Buckingham has been named the new vice president of manufacturing for Precision, Pulley and Idler (PPI).
Buckingham has most recently been president of the Firearms Division for Smith & Wesson Corp. in Springfield, Mass. Buckingham was responsible for the overall performance of five major brands.
Prior to joining Smith & Wesson, Matt was with Brownells Inc., located in Grinnell, Iowa. He joined Brownells in 2004 and served as its president. Early in his career, he held a variety of increasingly responsible management roles with a demonstrated track record of delivering organic and inorganic growth while also proving his ability to build strong teams.

Brown, president and CEO of Precision, expressed the excitement to have Buckingham returning to Iowa to reconnect with his family roots and create a positive impact for the company. “We are very pleased to welcome Matt and his family as a part of the Precision family. With his experience in management and operations, Matt will be a key contributor to the continued growth of our company,” he said.
