Do You Have a Red Wing Story?

Workers hang onto their boots for decades on end, and even pass them down to their kin as memorabilia. That’s why Red Wing isn’t just walking a mile in their customers’ shoes. It’s more like they’re walking billions of miles in millions of people’s shoes on a search for the most epic stories of a lifetime.

In a new campaign that brings light to these tales, Red Wing is collecting impressive stories behind customers’ boots at redwingamericaworking.com to be featured online and on a physical “Wall of Honor” at its flagship store in Red Wing, Minn. The wall will display printed customer stories alongside the actual boots they wore.

The admiration customers have for their Red Wing boots is astonishing, the company said. In addition to first-hand stories, Red Wing has received submissions from close family members sharing the impact a single pair of boots has had on their loved ones’ lives.

The simple fact that Red Wing’s shoes keep feet protected brings such a relief to customers that they are eager to publicize their stories. Shortly after starting as chief marketing officer, Dave Schneider was blown away by the compelling stories he heard, inspiring him to provide a platform for customers to share their stories and setting the idea for the “Wall of Honor.”

With more than 500 retail stores in 100+ countries, Red Wing’s customers are sharing their stories from all over the globe. The most inspiring stories will be selected to be featured in virtual and physical “Walls of Honor” online and in Red Wing, Minn.
