With this torque range, MagnaGear XTR reducers will accommodate more than 5,400 hp, helping make this reducer line well-suited for a variety of high torque applications. For shaft mount configurations up through an 8-in. diameter, the MagnaGear XTR features the Baldor Dodge patented twin-tapered bushing system, which sets the standard for easy installation and removal.
MagnaGear XTR reducers are designed to meet or exceed AGMA minimum bearing life. This results in a projected bearing life which more than doubles that of many competitor’s reducers. Available mounting systems include swing bases, tunnel housings or solid base plates, each optimally designed for the application. Low speed shaft attachment options include the twin tapered bushing system, or a variety of Baldor Dodge couplings including Moment or flexible types. For high speed, the Baldor Dodge coupling options include Grid, Gear and the new Raptor couplings.
