Stedman – Booth 1538

Stedman will be promoting its “Expect More” HSI impactor line in booth 1538 at AGG1 by re-educating process engineers about the unique design aspects of impactors. HSIs are20-AGG1-Stedman-400 capable of high ratio size reduction with no decrease in quality of the product even after long periods of operation. High size reduction ratios offer cost savings in handling, maintenance and wear parts.

Reduction ratios of up to 30 to 1 are achievable in a single stage. Product size is varied by changing rotor speed and the clearances between rotor breaker bars and apron breaker plates. The size reduction takes place along short fracture lines producing a more cubical product to meet aggregate specifications.

This fast impact fracture is different from the slow compression breaking in cone or jaw crushers that produce more slabby or flat material (5 to 1 length-to-height ratio). Unlike hammer mills, the open discharge impactor has no screens or grates holding material inside the crusher, so material is efficiently processed at high rates for low costs.

Design simplicity offers safe and easy access for rotor breaker bar replacement and access to all areas of the crushing chamber. Horizontal shaft impactors have proven they are capable of size reduction of all types of material sizes and hardness with minimal maintenance and excellent cubical particle size distribution control.

Stedman Machine Co. offers a full line of HSI impactors for almost any material or application from wet and sticky to dry and friable.

A GrandSlam HSI crusher is available for testing at Stedman’s Testing and Toll Processing Facility. And more than 10,000 other size reduction equipment tests are on file to help a process be as efficient as possible.

Superior Industries – Booth 1345

20-AGG1-Superior-400Superior Industries will be showing its Aggre-Dry Dewatering Washer at booth 1345. It is a single machine integrating a fine material washer and a dewatering screen. Sand processed through the equipment is stockpiled with a moisture content of just 8 percent, meaning the saleable product requires no drying time and can be accessed immediately.

Alternative uses to this technology include traditional sand screws, which produce high moisture material that can takes weeks to dry; dewatering screens without partner material washers lose up to 15 percent of sand to waste ponds; and cyclones use excessive amounts of horsepower, at least double the consumption of an Aggre-Dry Dewatering Washer.

Aggre-Dry Dewatering Washers are available in single or twin-screw configurations and in screw sizes of 36 in. (914 mm) to 60 in. (1,524mm). The twin-screw 60-in. model is capable of processing up to 800 tph. The maximum material size that can be process through the machine is 3/8 in.

Terex MPS – Booth 1487

Terex Minerals Processing Systems (Terex MPS), booth 1487, has expanded its CR Series20-AGG1-TerexMPS-400 portable plant line with the addition of the Terex Cedarapids CRS620S screen plant. The plant features the next generation, patent-pending LJ-TSV screen.

The new screen increases production and handles applications not possible with traditional horizontal screens because it combines the legendary El-Jay high g-force oval stroke motion with adjustable slope operation. This plant can handle larger deck loads and larger screen openings.

Hydraulics quickly change the screen slope in 2.5-degree increments up to a maximum of 7.5-degrees to best fit the application. Screen openings up to 6 in. (152 mm) are possible.

Patent pending “slant spring” screen suspension provides stability at all slopes. The plant utilizes large capacity conveyors to handle the high production capabilities of the new LJ-TSV screen.

The 48-in. (1219-mm) wide fines conveyor with its elevated discharge and the two 30-in. (762-mm) wide reversible cross conveyors which extend up to 42 in. (1067 mm) beyond the main frame, easily feed off-plant conveyors.

Roll-away blending chutes and extended walkways allow easy access to screen cloth. The patented low-maintenance flex shaft screen drive eliminates drive belt influence on the screen motion, belt whip, belt slippage and spring loaded belt tensioners. There are no drive adjustments necessary when the screen slope is altered. In addition, the new flex shaft drive folds for travel, without shaft disassembly, to minimize plant transport width.

Ed Sauser, product manager at Terex MPS, stated, “The addition of this new plant to our CR series portable plant line gives our customers a product that will handle more applications than other screen plants on the market. The increased capabilities, higher production, enhanced durability, and maintenance friendly features make it an industry leader in productivity.”
