Bulk-handling equipment manufacturer Masaba has gone without a serious injury in the workplace for an entire year as of July 9, 2014. This marked the anniversary of the last job-related injury that caused an employee to miss work. While the South Dakota-based company has always held employee safety as a top priority, this new milestone sets a high standard for the future. “We have always taken a lot of pride in doing things right and that includes safety. I could not be more proud of Team MASABA in what they have accomplished!” Masaba President Jerad Higman said. As a reward for their hard work and safe practices, Masaba employees were surprised with a barbeque during their lunch break. During the meal, Masaba managers and office workers took the chance to congratulate them on their accomplishment and express their appreciation.
