Edwards Named COO of Aggregates Industries US

Guy Edwards has been appointed chief operating officer by Aggregate Industries US, a Holcim group company.

“Guy’s industry experience and strategic vision are invaluable for his new role,” said Filiberto Ruiz, president and chief executive, Holcim (US) and Aggregate Industries US.

“His knowledge and commitment to the success of Aggregate Industries US made him an ideal candidate for this position, and we are very happy to have him on our team.”

Guy Edwards joined Hanson as quarry manager in 1988 and has held various operational and commercial managerial roles over the years. In 2006, he assumed the role of managing director in a Hanson/Tarmac Joint Venture before being appointed regional director south in 2009 and subsequently director Bardon Aggregates south east for Aggregate Industries US in 2012. The following year he was promoted to the UK executive committee as director overseas.

In his new role as chief operating officer, Edwards’s focus will be strategy implementation and business improvement. In addition, he will assess the structure, efficiency and performance of the organization.

Edwards holds a bachelor degree in Engineering from Leeds University, UK.
