Alternative Case Resolution Workshop Planned

Predictive Compliance and Catamount Consulting are holding a special Alternative Case Resolution workshop Feb. 18-20 in Las Vegas.

The two-and-a-half-day workshop will cover the legal and procedural processes involved in field inspections, citations and ACRI resolutions. Mine operators and representatives will gain valuable skills necessary to participate in the ACRI process without having to attain outside legal representation. Breakfast and lunch are included.

The workshop will be conducted by:

Mark Savit, partner, Jackson Lewis. Savit counsels clients in government investigations, and on regulatory matters, to help limit civil liabilities, prevent criminal prosecutions and promote sound health, safety and environmental policies. He has expertise in health and safety law, environmental law including mining and related litigation and legislative services. Savit began his career at the Department of the Interior where he headed the special investigation unit of the Mining Enforcement and Safety Administration.
 
Scott McKenna, Catamount Consulting. A 15-year veteran of both the mining and construction industries, McKenna is a professional member of the International Society of Mine Safety Professionals, a certified instructor with the Mine Safety Health Administration, and is an OSHA-certified Construction Trainer. He is a Certified Mine Safety Professional active in the Joseph A. Holes Safety Association consulting with numerous operations throughout the United States.
