Shandong Lingong Construction Machinery Co. Ltd., announced that it will introduce its SDLG branded equipment to customers in North America. The company, a subsidiary of Volvo Construction Equipment, will enter the North American market in the second half of 2013 by launching two models from its popular range of wheel loaders, the LG938L – a 2.4 cu. yd. (1.8 cu. m) loader with a rated load of 3 tons, and the LG959 – a 4.0 cu. yd. (3.1 cu. m) loader with a rated load of 5 tons.
The entry into North America is the latest phase of the company’s ambitious international expansion program. Recent introductions have seen SDLG enter markets such as Latin America, Russia, Oceania, the Middle East and much of Asia. The company’s products attract customers that are looking for new machines that are reliable, simple and with a more competitive price point than premium, features-led equipment. SDLG is enjoying a growing reputation for the high-build quality of its products and the reliable service support the brand provides.
Initially the SDLG products will undergo an introduction phase with select dealers before being rolled out to a wider customer base across North America in the coming months.
The LG938L and LG959 are the first models in the SDLG construction equipment product offering to be made available in North America. The easy-to-operate wheel loaders are particularly well-suited to material production facilities, site preparation and maintenance yards demanding cost-effective, reliable performance from mid-sized wheel loaders in support of their primary operations.
With an operating weight of 23,150 lb. (10,500 kg), the LG938L wheel loader offers the strength to fulfill multiple load and carry applications. With a standard bucket capacity of 2.4 cu. yd., the LG938L is rated to load and carry up to 6,000 lb. (2,720 kg) of material. The wheel loader has a maximum breakout force of 16,410 lb.-ft. (73 kN) with a static tipping load at full turn of 14,860 lb. (6,740 kg). When equipped with the optional long boom, the maximum breakout force is 15,290 lb.-ft. (68 kN) with a rated full-turn tipping load of 13,500 lb. (6,120 kg).
The LG959 wheel loader, with an operating weight of 38,250 lb. (17,350 kg), has a standard bucket capacity of 4.0 cu. yd. rated to load and carry 10,000 lb. (4,535 kg) of material. The LG959 generates a maximum breakout force of 34,170 lb.-ft. (152 kN) with a static tipping load at full turn of 22,490 lb. (10,200 kg). When equipped with the optional long boom, the wheel loader’s maximum breakout force is 32,820 lb.-ft. (146 kN) and rated full-turn tipping load is 20,240 lb. (9,180 kg).
