McLanahan Expands Into India

In an effort to increase support of its custom-engineered process solutions to customers in its global markets, McLanahan Corp. has formed an overseas joint venture.

McLanahan joins Indian company NAWA Engineers and Consultants Private Ltd. in forming the joint venture company (JVC) McLanahan NAWA Engineers Private Ltd.

For McLanahan NAWA Engineers Private Ltd., McLanahan will provide intellectual property, and NAWA will provide sales, manufacturing and procurement. McLanahan NAWA Engineers Private Ltd. will be available to customers in the countries of India, Pakistan, Nepal, Burma, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan.

Representing McLanahan’s interest in the company will be Prabudha (Ron) Thakurta, who will serve as director of McLanahan NAWA Engineers Private Ltd. He will spend significant amounts of time in India and work closely with customers for all of their processing needs.

McLanahan’s partner, NAWA Engineers, is a third-generation family owned business based in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India. NAWA has a staff of 260 with two offices and three manufacturing facilities in and around Hyderabad.

They primarily serve the aggregate industry with their core products including jaw crushers, cone crushers, vertical shaft impact crushers, vibrating screens and screw classifiers. Adding McLanahan equipment to their offerings through the JVC will allow them to expand into the coal market and provide opportunities for growth in the aggregate industry.
